2. What is the Indipreneur Launchpad course about?

The Indipreneur Launchpad is a 21-day online course that encourages independent entrepreneurs to get off the fence and become confident entrepreneurs.

Its structured lesson plans use research, audio-visual aids, and real-life case studies to aid the startup process. The course helps entrepreneurs question, validate, and execute their business ideas...with the assistance of a virtual mentor.

Starting a business is a creative process. It requires discipline, skill, commitment, and creativity. And it also needs to have certain processes and systems in place for it to function smoothly and ensure productivity and profit.

The Indipreneur Launchpad presents startup ideas and concepts in a lucid manner. You no longer need to spend hours educating yourself, and doing research online. Save that energy instead to be creative and build a business.

The Indipreneur Launchpad will give you the know-how to get your enterprise up and running.

3. How is the course unique from similar courses online?

The course is the first of its kind to give such extensive information in the succinct timeframe of 21 days.

The course is a result of months of research, reflecting the personal experiences of entrepreneurs and case studies of established and successful businesses. The course comprises three sections, viz:

  1. Create your business idea
  2. Know your business fundamentals
  3. Build and promote your brand

Each section will not only give you a comprehensive account of the concepts under it, but will also give you actionable steps that can help you develop a strategy for your venture. The course has homework too! Tasks for each day, worksheets, and additional reading resources complete your understanding of each topic.

The course instructor, Ritika Bajaj, will take you through the entire course... She will present many ideas, stories, and personal experiences. But more importantly, she will help you gain confidence in taking that first step to success.

At the end of the 21 days, even if you don't currently have a business idea, you'll start working on one...because the course will give you the confidence to dream!

4. How much time will it take to complete the course?

The course is planned for exactly 21 days – three weeks – give or take a few days, depending on your pace. Each day of the course will take not more than one hour of your time. But choose the time that works best for you – morning, noon, or night.

Additionally, some extra weekend time will help you read all the extra resources and finish your tasks with the required research and deliberation. A failure to execute generally results from a failure to plan, so don't hurry up the planning stage - it's the most crucial one.

Moreover, there is no end date to the course; you have access to the website for a full year after the course. So keep coming back, avail of all the resources at your own time, and stay connected with fellow Indipreneurs on the forum.

5. How do I know this course is for me?

The Indipreneur Launchpad was designed for just about anyone who has a dream to create a new product, start a business, and make a difference to the world at large.

You could be working from your home, or sitting in a small department in a big organisation; you could be a fresh techie graduate, or a bunch of friends looking to start something fun together... As long as you have the drive and necessary will power to take an idea to fruition, this course is for you.

You may think just creating a product and selling it is enough. Not really. The journey of entrepreneurship is much bigger than that... It goes beyond selling a product or service; it is about creating an impact and adding value to the lives of a multitude of consumers.

All this takes a lot of gumption, dedication, and constant innovation and iteration... If you are willing to go the full hog, if you are willing to convert your entrepreneurial dreams into your life mission, and if you wish to touch the lives of many, this course is for you!

6. Is it relevant to all industries?

As Eric Ries says in his book, The Lean Startup, the engine of growth for any industry is the same. And that's what this course does too. It does not overgeneralise, or give you abstract theories; it gives you a step-by-step account of how to start and grow your business.

The topics covered in this course will occur in the lifecycle of every startup, be it in the entertainment, IT, manufacturing sectors or the solopreneur operating a flourishing consulting or cookie business from her home.

Entrepreneur Meenal Sinha said, 'The business of business is to make money and create value.' This principle, which applies to any and every business, is the focus of this course.

Every section of every module in the course is designed to help you create an enterprise that is profitable, valuable, and sustainable...no matter the industry.

7. For how long do I have access to the course?

You have access to the course for a full year after the 21-day duration of the course. During the year, you can access the course at your leisure, read our new blog posts, look at course updates, chat with other entrepreneurs on the forum, or even write to us with the progress of your startup.

And, if at any point in your startup journey you get stuck, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We will respond to you at the earliest.

8. What will I get in addition to the course?

While participating in the course, as part of the Indipreneur community, a host of resources will become available to you.

Resources: Each topic will come along with a set of resources that will aid your learning on a particular topic. Tasks to be done, reading material and supplementary reports are some of them.

Reports: Each section is complete in itself, covering a host of sub-topics under it and well-researched reports that further corroborate and elaborate upon these ideas. The reports have been developed after much research and contain actionable strategies.

Chat Forum: Additionally, you can reach out to fellow Indipreneurs and connect with them on the forum. Use this space to exchange ideas, share networks, fix offline meetings, strike like-minded partnerships or even to cut lucrative deals. Nothing compares to peer learning, and this is your opportunity to do that.

9. What should I hope to achieve at the end of the course?

At the end of the course, you will be ready to charge ahead and achieve your entrepreneurial goals. Armed with the tools and ready with your research, the next steps for your enterprise will now become clearer.

Undertaking the course is a journey that will help you look inward and find your true vision as an entrepreneur and a startup. It will also help you look outward and factor in the consumer, helping you create products and services of value.

More importantly, it will help you become a more confident entrepreneur and visionary... What was earlier just a figment of your imagination or a distant dream will now become a reality.

The life of an entrepreneur can be very challenging, but it can also be great fun... This course will help you have fun while you deal with those challenges!

10. How is Indipreneur connected to Common Sense Living?

The idea of Indipreneur was born from the Startup eSeries - a weekly eletter from Common Sense Living that brings out the challenges and victories of the startup world.

Conceptualised by Ritika Bajaj, an entrepreneur, writer, and editor, the series is a huge success, reflecting the aspirations of many Indians determined to become wealthy through industry and enterprise.

With Indipreneur, Ritika feels she can encapsulate her many learnings from the diverse entrepreneurs she has met into one comprehensive whole, giving learners greater insight into the world they are about to enter.

Common Sense Living, an initiative by Mark Ford, talks about the different ways to live a wealthier, richer, and more successful life. Mark Ford, himself an entrepreneur, imparts his nuggets of business wisdom through his writing and various information products.

He has published several successful books and also started multiple businesses. His teachings find universal resonance.

Common Sense Living is neither a university nor an educational institution nor affiliated to one and will not grant a degree or any other certificate on completion of the online course.

Others

Many popular e-mail programs, including older versions of Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, and Netscape Mail, don't provide a convenient way for you to white-list the folks you want to receive e-mail from. If you're using this sort of e-mail system and you either aren't getting your Indipreneur emails or want to make sure you continue to receive your e-letters in the future, you can do something about it.

Contact the customer service people or the Postmaster at the company that provides your e-mail or Internet connection (your ISP). Explain to them that Indipreneur emails are email that you asked for and value. Ask them if they can white-list Indipreneur. (Unfortunately, some e-mail systems don't allow white-listing.) If they do white-list, they'll probably ask you for some information about us. Here's what to tell them:

  • Sending Address: If they ask for our address, give them the address in the "From" line of your most recent Indipreneur email.
  • Domain: If they need to know the domain we're mailing from, tell them this: indipreneur.in, IP Address: 46.137.209.73

Thank you for white-listing us! If you are having any difficulty in white-listing us, please write in to us with the details of the email service that you are using.
